Disconnect thermostat from burner, this may be a deep pinl cable as this one or yellow and earth wires not in flex, when re-connecting the wires can go on any terminal but the earth must go on the earth terminal. I hang the cover plate up to the towel rail with a bungee cord to keep it out of the way.
Remove the 4 M6 long nuts, above and below the timer on right hand side and under the air pressure switch and above the transformer on left hand side. Some burners have 3 normal M6 nuts on long pipes and one long nut in top left hand position. Don't pull on the burner yet as the oil needs to be disconnected.
